About Joshua Zimmerman
In 2017, Joshua released his debut album Crossroads, marking the beginning of his journey as a recording artist. His second album, Finding Peace, is set for release in 2025, with a third album in the works, expected to drop in late 2025 or early 2026.
Joshua’s solo piano music evokes the heartfelt, melodic styles of artists such as David Lanz, Jim Brickman, Michele McLaughlin, Yiruma, George Winston, and David Nevue. His compositions share a similar emotional depth and soothing quality, drawing inspiration from these renowned pianists.
Alongside his music career, Joshua is the proud owner and operator of The Piano Cottage, a respected private music academy in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He works alongside a talented team of instructors, fostering a supportive, community-driven environment that has made The Piano Cottage a staple in the local music scene.
When he’s not making music, Joshua cherishes time with his wife, Maira, and their three children, Elise (b. 2020), Eleanor (b. 2022), and Josiah (b. 2024). The family is actively involved in their church and enjoys making lasting memories together.

A deeply personal and emotionally resonant work

The ten tracks are not about dancing on clouds or uncontrollable giggles, but focus on much deeper and more meaningful aspects of happiness and joy - his young children, his relationship with his wife, a rainy day, etc. The overall tone of the album is one of peace (hence the title!!!) and contentment with an emphasis on meaningful melodies and expression.
Kathy Parsons from Mainly Piano
Remarkable, authentic natural talent. While listening I could "feel" the music coming from that piano. Josh is, hands down, the most impressive pianist I have ever heard in my lifetime.
