A Journey Through Musical Landscapes

Joshua Zimmerman grew up in Hudsonville, Michigan where he began taking piano lessons at nine years old. By the time he was twelve, Josh was playing at weddings and traveling to churches throughout West Michigan to share his gift of music with others.

Josh was a three-sport athlete in high school. After practice, he taught piano lessons to neighboring families, and at the age of 16 he began running his own private studio. Unknowingly, this would set the foundation for what would later become his career.

Currently, Joshua owns and operates a private music school in Grand Rapids, The Piano Cottage. He enjoys working with some of the most talented instructors and students in West Michigan and being part of the tight-knit community that The Piano Cottage is known for.

Joshua and his wife Maira have 3 beautiful children, Elise (b. 2020), Eleanor (b. 2022) and Josiah (b. 2024.) They are actively involved in their church, and enjoy spending time as a family.
